And the cow jumped over the moon!

Somehow, I can just see that cow. I can see her sailing through the sky, head held high, ears straight out, long legs and tail streaming behind her. Something about that cow looks so familiar. It can't be.... no, it can't... but it must be... Hunter Jumper! And somewhere in the dust behind that flying cow, I see... what is it? what could it be? It is a very annoyed exasperated completely-out-of-breath-and-patience farmer girl.

Even though the barn doors are open and we have free access to pasture, the fun of jailbreaking can not be denied.

Winter's over, spring is here! Though it is too early to say that as it is only late January. We woke up to a misty warm world (at forty degrees) with cloud cover and darkness until morning came. And with morning came the light, and with light came the realization that every single one of those cows was out and about where they had no business being.

Hoof tracks all over the soft wet ground! Cows feeding from the feed trough, all right, but on quite the wrong side. This was the farmer's side they were on, not the cow side, and it made farmer girl huffy.

Off she went to chase all those naughty cows in. She had no problem finding them, not at all! The ones who weren't feeding at the trough were all to be found lying on the cheese shop lawn chewing their cuds, content as could be.

Christmas Eve... what a beautiful day. One feels it would be a beautiful day even if the weather were stormy, with the snow and sleet we had earlier instead of this clear blue sky and soft winter suns
